Depending on your chosen design, Swisstrax tiles are available in up to 41 different colors and style patterns, so you can easily find something that blends seamlessly with your garage’s own interior design or color theme. Not only are Swisstrax tiles aesthetically pleasing, they’re fully functional, too: no matter the color you choose, each tile is made with resistant polypropylene, and can be easily cleaned in just a few minutes.
It’s no secret that your garage floor is going to be subject to significant weight pressure - from vehicles to heavy tools, Swisstrax tiles are designed to be as resistant and durable as possible, with most tiles capable of withstanding up to 60,000-70,000 lbs in rolling weight.
Swisstrax’s 4-point injection molding process also helps protect your flooring by distributing weight equally, maximizing your floor’s rolling weight tolerance. Plus, many Swisstrax tiles are also UV-stabilized, meaning they won’t fade or degrade with frequent use.
The one thing that will damage any floor tile is using a vehicle jack directly on it. So to avoid tile damage we recommend you place your jack on a piece of wood or even a spare tile to spread the pressure.
Engineered using innovation-led technology, Swisstrax garage tiles are simple and easy to install, and you can complete the installation yourself in just a few hours. Most Swisstrax tiles can be installed simply by interlocking the tiles together using a peg and loop system, although do note that your tiles need to be stored at room temperature for 24 hours before installation (72F or higher.)
You may need to use a saw (circular, jig, or table saw) if you plan on cutting the tiles to fit your space. Optional tools also include a measuring tape, knife, marker, glasses and safety gloves. No need for an installation expert - even if you’re not a DIY whizz. In fact, installation can be a fun project for the whole family. For further details, you can take a look at Swisstrax’s own installation guide here.
All Swisstrax orders will be shipped via FedEx or UPS, and usually shipped within 2-3 days following the confirmation of your order. Once your order has shipped, we’ll send you a confirmation email, which will always include tracking details for your shipment. You’ll be able to track your order via either the UPS or FedEx website, and amend your delivery where possible.
Yes! All Swisstrax tile designs feature some slip-resistance built in. Closed surface tiles like the Vinyltrax or Diamondtrax have textured surfaces to give added grip underfoot, while the RIbtrax original and smooth variants have channeling to allow spills, snow/water and other debris to fall between the cracks. This minimizes those potential slip hazards by keeping them away from the surface you and your family walk on.
Absolutely! You can buy different colored tiles and create a bespoke design for your garage - just make sure to check the dimensions are the same. All Pro Series (Ribtrax and Vinyltrax) tiles and edges use a 15.75” side length so they can be interlocked with each other, while the Home Series (Diamondtrax) tiles and edges use a 12” side length so they would not work with the Pro tiles.
Yes, all Swisstrax tiles can be cut and modified using a fine-toothed saw (a circular, jig, or table saw works perfectly).
Yes! All you need to do is snap the tiles together, and cut them where necessary to fit your garage floor. So even if you’re not a DIY expert, Swisstrax offers the easiest possible installation.
If you need to remove one tile from your floor, simply use a spatula knife or flat-edged screwdriver to lift the tile - it should pop out, leaving the rest of the floor intact.
